Mastering Navigation and Gestures
Your Realme Pad is built for fluid interaction. Beyond basic taps, unlock its potential with gesture controls. Enable System Navigation in Settings > System > Gestures to switch from traditional buttons to intuitive swipes. Swipe up from the bottom to go home, swipe and hold for recent apps, or swipe from either side to go back. For faster app switching, enable Quick Launch in Settings > Convenience Tools > Gesture & Motions. With this, drawing a letter on a turned-off screen launches a designated app—‘C’ for Camera, ‘W’ for Chrome.
Maximize multi-tasking with Realme UI’s FlexDrop. Open an app, swipe up from the bottom to enter recent apps, then tap the app icon at the top of the window and select Floating Window. This creates a resizable, movable window that hovers above other content. You can have multiple floating windows and minimize them into bubble icons for quick recall. For true split-screen, enter recent apps view, tap the three-dot menu on an app card, and select Split Screen. Then choose your second app. Drag the divider to adjust pane sizes.
Productivity Powerhouse: Work and Create Efficiently
Turn your Realme Pad into a laptop alternative. Pair a compatible Bluetooth keyboard and utilize Settings > System > Keyboard to customize shortcuts. The Smart Sidebar, activated by swiping in from the right edge, is your command center. Customize it in Settings > Convenience Tools > Smart Sidebar to include tools like a screen recorder, calculator, or note-taking app for instant access over any screen.
For note-takers and artists using the Realme Pencil, delve into Settings > Additional Settings > Stylus. Here, you can adjust the pen’s pressure sensitivity and enable a double-tap shortcut to quickly switch tools within supported apps. Don’t overlook Screen-Off Memos. With the stylus detached, simply tap the screen while it’s off and start writing; your notes are saved automatically to the Notes app.
Enhance your focus with Focus Mode. Access it via Quick Settings or Settings > Digital Wellbeing & Parental Controls. This feature allows you to block distracting apps for set periods, promoting deep work. For reading, enable Eye Comfort in Quick Settings to reduce blue light, and fine-tune color temperature in Settings > Display & Brightness.
Entertainment and Media Optimization
The Realme Pad’s Dolby Atmos-powered quad speakers are a highlight. For an immersive audio experience, swipe down to open Quick Settings, long-press the Dolby Atmos icon, and select a profile. Movie mode widens the soundstage, Music enhances clarity and bass, while Game prioritizes directional audio cues. In Settings > Sound & Vibration > Dolby Atmos, you can manually create a custom equalizer.
To transform your tablet into a portable cinema, enable Video Color Enhancement in Settings > Display & Brightness. This dynamically boosts contrast and saturation in video apps. For offline viewing, use the built-in File Manager to create organized folders. Utilize cloud storage integration by linking Google Drive or Realme Cloud in Settings > Additional Settings > Cloud Service for seamless media backup and access.
Gaming performance can be fine-tuned. Activate Game Space from the app drawer or Quick Settings. When you launch a game, it automatically optimizes system resources, blocks notifications, and enables anti-mis-touch features. You can also call up a floating menu for screen recording, screenshotting, or performance monitoring without leaving the game.
System Maintenance and Battery Mastery
Maintaining peak performance requires proactive care. Schedule automatic device optimizations by going to Phone Manager > Settings > Automatic Optimization. Here, you can set it to clean junk files and scan for security threats nightly. Manage app permissions granularly in Settings > Privacy > Permission Manager to protect your data and potentially improve battery life by restricting unnecessary background activity.
The large battery is a key feature. To extend its lifespan, enable Super Power Saving Mode from the battery settings when critically low. For daily optimization, use Smart Power Saving which learns your usage patterns and conserves energy accordingly. Navigate to Settings > Battery > More Settings to turn on Optimized Nighttime Charging, which slows charging overnight to reach 100% just before you wake, reducing long-term battery wear. Reduce screen refresh rate to 60Hz in display settings for less demanding tasks to gain extra hours.
Customization and Hidden Features
Personalize your device extensively. Beyond wallpapers, use Always-On Display in Settings > Personalizations to show the time, date, and notification icons when the screen is off. Customize the icon layout, size, and style in the same menu. You can also install third-party icon packs from the GetApps store.
Discover efficiency shortcuts. In the Quick Settings panel, use the edit button to rearrange and add toggles like Dark Mode, Screen Recorder, or Hotspot. For one-handed use, enable One-Handed Mode in Settings > Convenience Tools by swiping diagonally inward from a bottom corner.
Security features go beyond the PIN. Set up App Lock in Security > App Lock to add a fingerprint or passcode to sensitive apps like email or gallery. For secure file handling, use the Private Safe feature—a password-protected vault within the File Manager to hide photos, videos, and documents.
Boost your connectivity. Use your Realme Pad as a secondary display for your Windows PC with third-party apps, leveraging the high-resolution screen. The Cross-device Connectivity feature, found in Settings > Additional Settings, allows for smoother file sharing with other Realme/Oppo devices. For efficient file transfers to any device, use the Share function’s Create QR Code option, letting others scan to download files directly.
